people often ask me; "Foone, you're an amateur physical media historian, when is it spelled disc, and when is it disk?"

Well it's simple!
Discs grow down from the ceiling, and disks grow up from the floor.

@foone if it helps, it's pronounced the same way as GIF

@foone a disc has a square tail, but a disk a pointy one (this lets them soar)

@foone a disc is more resistant to heat and pressure than a disk and better preserves the heat (or lack thereof) of whatever is placed on top of it against the surroundings, but does so more poorly than the third sort, in line with the grading system of food storage and presentation feasibility: disk < disc < dish

@foone instructions unclear, spelling it "dicks" from now on.
