@Erato_Heti @nautilus No. The reasoning behind this is mainly that, when there’s technological progress, there’s no “entitlement” to keep your old job. However, since he’s talking about “society” in general, it should be clear to him—as a social scientist—that it’s obviously the responsibility of a good society to continue providing these people with work—through educational opportunities or alternative employment options.

I think the phrase ‘your work’ is whats throwing me off because for me i take it for granted work is not yours or mine its just a power function tethered to people but its not really anybodies.
