Posts like these ‘what’s the nastiest thing you’ve eaten’ always talk about the most basic ass basic food (durian, pork intestines, natto, century egg)

I find a lot of white bread American food repulsive but you don’t find me posting shit like this

@skinnylatte my dad thought he could cook but he really couldn't. once when I was a kid he made "creme of spinach soup" by putting spinach and expired milk in a blender and boiling it

@skinnylatte I had dinner at the mom's of my American ex. I understood that his regular "wow, I thought I didn't like <food> but when you prepare it I do" was not an empty compliment made to flatter me but an actual truth. (What that woman did to innocent broccoli? *shudders*)

@krazykitty I swear I once heard a woman say at Tarder Joe’s: I’m so glad the salad dressing is back, I haven’t eaten any vegetables for the last few months because they were out (I was like.. make your own?!)

@skinnylatte Once, after visiting a client, I took some Taiwanese to eat at a prosciutto restaurant near Parma. When we came out, they were all on the verge of throwing up; I felt absolutely guilty 😅
