My hottest take about online is that blocking people is cool and good and necessary and getting mad at someone for blocking you is embarrassing. Unless they were a close friend, even if they're a Wrong Idiot Asshole they have the right to block you no matter how right you are

@junebug my hot take is that people don't block or mute each other nearly as often as they should. instead they get involved in pointless internet fights that do nothing but raise blood pressure and (often) put reactionary garbage directly onto my feed. I don't owe everyone an interaction or a response, so I don't feel guilt about blocking/muting people

@junebug I can also be mad at what I want neobot_floof_angel

If someone blocks me, then they don't wanna interact, meaning they dislike me, and if they dislike me, I have the right to right to dislike them back

whenever I see someone being like "see I yelled at this person online a ton, and they blocked me, and that's embarrassing and they're stupid because I was right" it's like. Okay sure buddy. I don't care if you're right that was pointless and they're being better at internet then you

@junebug also, if they block me, they explicitly don't care what I think
