Really, this is just a more serious way of saying, "In the trolley car problem, I'm pulling the switch lever that sends the trolley over 25 liberal Dems and 40 centrist Dems that I personally tied to the tracks. That's my answer to your philosophical conundrum."

@timberwraith the modern trolley problem was developed by virtue ethicist Philippa Foot (and developed further by Judith Jarvis Thomson) to critique exactly this kind of sacrificial consequentialist discourse
