@nautilus when i detained recently i had the gospel of john super marked up but i didnt take my bibles with me so i don't have my notes. other than that i like 2 John 1:12 & 3 John 1:14. there's something so sweet about the face to face bit. there's a couple others from some of the minor OT prophets but again im horrible at keeping notes after ive made them

@nautilus kings and samuel are also pretty interesting, it was nice to see that continual narrative play out & even if i know better it's still cute to me to imagine jonathan and david yaoi

@nautilus oh also i love this part
48 Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And he said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you,[m] you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

the fig tree part specifically it's just so mundane but i think i like it because it calls back in some way to the formed you in your mother's womb bit, captures that personal relationship thing, a lot of the bible is really very sweet and sentimental
