it frustrates me when people use double consonants with long vowels . this is a feature that indicates short vowels . scrapper reads "scrăper" , scraper reads "scrāper" like you meant it . you should be able to recognize this pattern .

a lot of people just default to double consonants whenever there's potential for it , and like ... do you just not think at all when you are writing

i wonder if it's because autocorrect does it but i kinda doubt it
