I have just lost contact with nearly all of my friends.

I will ***never again*** use a messenger that cannot be logged into using nothing other than my password manager, a backup of my phone, and the ability to receive SMS.

IF AND ONLY IF there is a service that will let me create a phone number that can receive messages that fits this criterion, I will rejoin #Signal. Otherwise, forget it.

@AVincentInSpace iirc Delta Chat doesn't require a phone number
