"poor people can't go vegan, it's a waste of their food stamps. what do you mean you're a vegan and on food stamps? I'm just gonna pretend you don't exist so that I can pretend my speciesism is some kind of class solidarity"

"Inuit communities in the Arctic have to hunt to survive. me buying steak at the grocery store is totally the same thing"

"I, an American who has never eaten more than 2 grams of fiber in a single day, felt my tummy get upset when I ate only vegan meals one day. clearly this means I am too disabled to reduce my animal product consumption at all and it's ok for me to wear leather"

the purpose of this morality laundering is to make you feel problematic and guilty for being ethically consistent. as if being a good person is a privilege. they want you to think your moral standards are racist/classist/ableist so that you stop reminding people of them. it is just emotional manipulation using (usually leftist) buzzwords and should be called out as such
