lightning on the horizon , silent . it's so far the sound dissipates before it gets here . i watch and wait for the sound of thunder , but it never comes . dreamlike .

the storm arrives quickly . the wind blows my hat off as i go to get gas and my car is pelted with rain . needless to say i can hear the thunder now
