@winter @BeamsAndBows i seriously doubt this is done for profit rather than a genuine desire to see children suffer for not being perfect.

@yohan @BeamsAndBows well the JRC it’s hard to see as anything but the people who work there being literal nazis who spend their offtime fantasizing about how they could hurt children even more, but the broader ABA industry is very much a huge for-profit business as well as a massive sadism operation.

the really insidious thing is how they are basically experts at manipulation because they have built their whole pseudoscience on producing a desired behavior from a subject, and you can see this in how they pull the strings of parents, politicians, doctors, their employment recruits. you can see it well from the outside, but good luck convincing someone who’s already indoctrinated that they have been listening to a literal professional gaslighter and maybe the supposed “evidence” doesn’t exist if they actually try looking for it. and even if you start to get through, the behavior analyst need only say “oh yes, some ABA is bad but our ABA is different” and then they are completely believed based on nothing.
