just spent way too long wrestling my sewing machine trying to unstuck the screws covering the greasy holes. some absolute and utter idiot either didnt use a grease that protects against corrosion or never greased the machine because everything is seized and corroded to shit and that includes the threads on those screws. ive been soaking them in all purpose oil but to be totally honest im losing hope a little

luckily im already missing 2 of them (great fucking job previous owner) so if push comes to shove i can replace those too. id prefer to try it with an impact first though just in case cause these *are* grub screws so the body is basically just as wide as the head meaning the odds of snapping the head off arent as high as rounding it over

problem: dont have an impact driver because my mother is absolutely and utterly incapable of keeping her tools organised

oh to be the proud owner of a milwaukee m18 combo kit compact impact and drill drivers (with batteries and a charger)

also what is it with power tool manufacturers and just being completely unable to make their tools not the most garish colours with this hyper "futuristic" design language? cause like im thinking of using grip tape on em just to reduce that

like she owns i think at least 2 huge corded drills, several ratchet sets, 2 identical all inclusive toolboxes, one makita drill that she doesnt let me have even though we live in the same house and i just want to keep it within reach (the one thing i actually want because its the only reasonably sized cordless drill) and no impact drivers
