the aspect of climate disaster I think people aren’t ready for or fully appreciating is the very strong likelihood of food production collapse and water wars. it’s not just temperature. the current food production structures are very reliant on fossil fuels and the usage of tons of water on huge swaths of monoculture filled land.

when we focus only on temperature and sea levels rising and weather we’re failing to appreciate the full scope of the issue and the things we’ll need to do to support each other

@0x4d6165 it's not even just that, too. climate change is *directly* affecting the food production chain due to ecosystem collapse and geological effects, like what's happening to the Mississippi River right now . it's really bad from all angles
