@fiore A touhou non-character who has no name, no description, no personality, we know literally nothing about it other than the fact that it was drawn very creepily and weirdly on the CD for the first ZUN CD 蓬莱人形 〜 Dolls in Pseudo Paradise, the Japanese community calls it レーベル子 which means "label child", though it contains music that exists in Touhou games, in addition to titles that reference Touhou like things like Mikos, it's not really agreed upon if it even counts as a Touhou character, or if it even is a character at all.

@fiore When touhou 19 was releasing and characters slowly revealed, people started predicting that the characters would revolve around the Chinese zodiac and that ZUN was some genius, this was very major at least in the western community of course this was just wrong lol. One of the characters were literally just added because Toby Fox asked him to 😭

@fiore Oh when he was composing the song for this character, people were like yeah this is pretty faithful to the original theme and then ZUN later revealed that he had lost the CD for it so I composed it by memory 😭 he has done this SEVERAL times

@fiore Annoying purists insist on 6 which is a terrible idea that game is ass especially for new players, 7 is also normally recommended for some reason, it's quite difficult (Youmu will slaughter you) 8 is my favourite game and it's iconic as hell but it's gimmick is kinda weird and it will give you a false impression on start. 10 is another common starting game but its bombs are weird but honestly it's fairly solid as it has worked out most kinks of touhou. Starting with a modern game is also not a terrible idea. 18 is on the easy side but the gimmick is quite in depth, 17 is a bit harder and has higher bullet density though its gimmick is less game defining. I'm also relatively a fan of 14 as a starting game as its easy mode hits a good sweet spot but I find it to be quite punishing in normal mode and it can teach you bad habits with going over the collection line due to its gimmick. Any game not mention I'd stay away from, 9 and later can be bought on steam the rest have to be pirated.
