i think the gay voice can be way more than natural compared to that

@MalibuSunrise what throws me is there isn't a state of gay people, there're gay people in states. It seems unnatural that one would develop an accent from interacting with a small subculture

I wonder how much of it is genetic, I know some gay guys that are more and less extreme on it...

@Merc the gay voice is natural in the same way all accents are natural, which is to say that they develop naturally in particular cultures and are naturally picked up as one interacts with those cultures. it is not "innate" nor is basically any part of language it's an accent like any other

@Merc @MalibuSunrise the only part of it that would be genetic is vocal range (which gay men tend to speak higher in because of that gay accent) but otherwise it's pretty much just a quirk of personality and presentation
