@whitequark like yes i can mitigate stuff with backups, i do have a powerbank with me at all times but i typically dont go anywhere purely relying on navigation without any concept of how to get there and back for example its just i NEED this to work at my most inconvenienced

@whitequark unless you need the phone to also do NFC for other reasons (such as if you've got tokens set up to do automation, or in our case for only letting our alarm turn off once we're out of bed). we've found the phone's attempt to use NFC when near a reader will still interfere with the card

@whitequark unfortunately not, even if you toggle NFC off in Android settings it doesn't cut power to the NFC chip so it ends up interfering with the card (and NFC antennas are stronger than antennas inside the card)
