a few months back during the election, this pic went viral on tw*tter which contains a passage that obviously reflects poorly on our current president. as far as I can tell, the original tweet was deleted, but this has circulated enough for it to get reposted a few times.

the book screenshotted here is Ideal Illusions by James Peck, and endnote #205 reads: “Quoted by David Binder and Walter R. Roberts, ‘The Only Good Serb Is a…’ Mediterranean Quarterly (Summer 1998): 34.”

the original source of the quote is attributed to a Larry King interview with Biden in 1993, which I can’t find any videos or transcripts of on YouTube. there are several links floating around on various right wing blogs to videos which probably had the original, but they’ve been taken down since then, STRANGELY ENOUGH………..

is any of this a big gotcha or give some unique insight into how corrupt and evil the government/media/tech companies are? not really. it’s a very small thing, but I just thought it was amusing how blatantly obvious it is that this is being censored

oh I forgot to add that this is what you get if you reverse image search it on Google -- the fact that it just says "dot" leads me to believe that some developer who wrote whatever censoring algorithm is behind this literally just set it to rewrite whatever search text this would come up with, with a dot character, and this is how it got interpreted by the time it got to the frontend
