you know I'm not a proponent of simulation theory but it would make sense. like, this idea of the planck units being the smallest meaningful quantifiers does make me think of natural rounding errors. not that I'm a physicist or understand what they actually are but like. yeah. planck time especially, it would give you a way to essentially render discreet frames. our perception of time is an illusion created by our brains, it's not like we'd notice a lagspike or something. all the weird quantum behaviors *could* also be a result of an imperfect simulation. wave-particle duality as well, if I were trying to simulate a universe of particles I'd probably find some weird way to simplify Dozens of Electrons into Cloud of Electrons. less math to calculate that way.

the only logical "why" I can think of would be to see if life can appear, and if said life would even realize they're in a simulation. If this really is what's happening, well, there's lots of people on twitter who see the beauty of the world and chalk it up to a higher power. for atheists, that's the idea that this world is in a computer. does that count as realizing? does my halfways half-theory count as solving the mystery?
