I think the best joke to come out of watching this episode was when Carol asks about what people think about her books and … I don’t remember who nor am I good with names (Mike help me out here) but someone said “Elon Musk talking to Grok” which is brilliant and true on it’s own but it made me think he looked like grok which is maybe even funnier. ardent everything app lovers may see grok as this genius dude in the computer or (even worse) a live2d model who has steamy esex with you, but we all know he looks like Larry from Bravo Plurb s01e04

I will say though it's a really good episode, cause there's so much lore and shit being dropped

like, in the cold open, the fact that there's someone actively resisting even contacting the hivemind to the point of eating dog food (and visibly trying not to puke) is pretty big. Carol is a hating ass bitch but this guy seems a little nutty, and he now understands that there are others like him, exciting to see how that unfolds

but more importantly, background information for Carol. you're telling me she used to do *heroin?* really??? and then there's, well let's just say her mother was "unsupportive" . and the fact that Helen didn't really think her writing was particularly good but still knew that people would like it and stuff, not really caring as long as she was happy, REALLY adds depth to their relationship—or, well, what it used to be. I'm sure we'll get more flashbacks with them though, but going forward it'll be... worth keeping in mind.

and of course MOST importantly the sexual tension between Carol and Zosia is getting addressed. I mean come on, they are GOING to fuck. in breaking bad there were quite a few sex scenes, I don't recall any in BCS right now but Kim and Jimmy were getting it ON, so.

the whole sodium thiopental thing is interesting though, I read that it's a general anaesthetic and also just now that it's a truth serum. I'm not sure if that's quite how it works, but it would absolutely have kicked in way way faster than it did for both of them. with how much she gave Sozia I wouldn't be too surprised if she actually dies, cause apparently it is also used as lethal injection. so. unsure about the cardiac arrest too. from what I can tell it'll just put you to sleep, maybe she was on other things as well. I think it would be really really funny if, like, the hivemind just manually stops her heart to prevent the secret cure from being revealed

if it's somehow able to free Sozia from the hivemind though, that would be kinda sick. might only be temporary though #Interesting but with her having such a central role I don't think she'll die
