I load the battle and after getting attacked on the first turn the game tells me I lost.
SOLUTION: make an effort to set characters' hp to their max first, and set the Alive variable to true
NEW PROBLEM: now I instead immediately win
the ACTUAL solution: I wanted to change the alive variable to a getter based on actor hp but reverted the change, forgetting to set an initial value resulting in literally everyone technically being "dead" when the battle starts
