I just realized something
maybe there really is only one ending right, fate has its way, they couldn't change the prophecy.
buuuut, we, who exist many layers of reality above the game, could change it. the story is waiting for us to pick up the (metaphorical) pen, we can change it however we like. that's what Gerson was talking about and I don't think I need to explain why him of all people saying that is significant.
we can retell the story of DELTARUNE however the hell we want, if they don't get the happy ending we think they deserve, we can GIVE IT TO THEM. they're only "real" for as long as we suspend our disbelief, if you didn't like a story, what's stopping you from making your own version of it?
