one of the most insane things british people do is refer to restaurants as the cuisine with the indefinite article . "i hear there's a decent indian around the corner" "oh i just went to a nice chinese" do you hear yourself what the hell

To most people, โ€œcrimeโ€ is a general signifier for bad things that people do to each other.

In reality, though, crime is defined entirely by *violations of some legal authorityโ€™s rules*, usually those of the state.

Many bad things that people do to each other are perfectly legal: war, pollution, exploitation. Many good things are crimes: feeding the homeless or protesting genocide or self-defense against an abuser.

The Holocaust was once legal. Freeing enslaved people was once a crime. When we ask โ€œbut how would we protect ourselves from crime without police or the state,โ€ we are asking the wrong question. There is no crime without the state, because nothing can be licit or illicit without the stateโ€™s legal authority.

What we need to ask is: how do we best address interpersonal harms? Fortunately, that has nothing to do with the police or the state.

sally struthers begging people to send cash to equip child soldiers in the eternal wars against communism. for less than a dollar a day you can equip a child with a KillCoโ„ขcombat load carrying system made right here in AmeriKKKa consisting of an adorable little assault pack, an absolutely darling chest rig, and a child-sized combat belt, fitted with all the pouches your precious little soldier will need to hold ammo, food, condoms, grenades and various other things on their journey to kill commies for God. You'll get a photograph of the darling little warrior, and via a partnership with the Department of War, if your little killer is WIA or -- God forbid -- K or MIA -- you get to be a silver or gold star parent! Help Make America Great and help people free themselves from Communism, so they can feel the firm guidance of the invisible hand and the warm touch of a pastor's blessing.

okay any eurotrannies know anything about a Dr. Jurgen Schaff? apparently he's one of the best in the world for the kinda genital jigsaw puzzle I want (add a vagina and keep the pp) and, more importantly, he's not in the US but I'd like some intel on him if possible. knowing is half the battle after all

trauma is relational, healing that has to also be relational. bc when we are hurt we have a strong need to have that pain recognized and acknowledged and not dismissed. if we have a safe person to express how we are feeling hurt to, who can see and validate that, then that meets that need.

if we DON'T have that, we still have the need. and most often we seek to meet that need by SHOWING people just how hurt we are with our behavior or words. which often looks like lashing out! which like. doesn't help anyone! it just compounds relational harm.
