@apophis i use startpage and also have this issue (though it isn’t always just porn.) DDG was still worse though. i have no idea how their image search is so terrible when google’s image search is just fine. ignoring the ai slop

@shroomie i'm guessing they don't have the same budget google does for behind-the-scenes curation

@shroomie which means the slop takes over in the worst possible ways, giving you the worst of both worlds where *either* [+slop +curation] or [-slop -curation] would have given something better
