@lispi314 @anemone yeah even setting aside who the enemy actually is, we aren't even competing with China anymore, on basically any grounds. We don't make anything except food and advertisements in the US anymore, and our consoomer economy relies directly and almost-entirely on China. Tech companies (advertising companies) prop up the US economy and our idea of innovation is over-taxing a neglected power grid to make pictures of anime girls with 5 nipples.

@anemone @lispi314 @prettygood is it just me or are the farm lobbies weirdly silent in all this? you'd think their industry would be getting dryfucked in every orifice right now to outweigh whatever benefit the antiwoke and trade protections are bringing

or is it actually a good thing for the lobbyists' main clients who are just the big agribusiness guys looking to consolidate everything once all the smaller farmers are forced to sell?
