on a related note I turned off some setting about "configuring the computer automatically after being updated" and now windows boots up like instantly. whereas previously it took an agonizing minute or so. I just think that's interesting

and by "interesting" I of course mean it's israeli coalware. refer to my above statement regarding microsoft employees.
