it’s obviously a fantastic intimidation tactic by Gus to just fucking slime him out like that. it’s like saying “You’re all disposable, so don’t fuck with me or you’re next.” like, “I’ll fucking kill you, here’s proof I mean it.”
Despite Walter’s scathing assessment of Tyrus’ ability to cook, he’s still absolutely terrified that gus is gonna kill him—replace him. So, if he killed Gale for the same reason, why not just kill Tyrus now to get it over with? And then the way he just drops his corpse in front of them and walks away, it’s like Gus is telling Walt that he caused this. He did this to Gale, and he did this to Tyrus. Anything to make sure he doesn’t get dethroned, right?
I wouldn’t put it past Gus to use this tactic, given it was used against him when Hector killed Max. it’s an interesting look at his psyche, I feel. absolutely terrifying man
