If you are a fully grown adult who still refers to themselves as a boy / girl you are an autopedophile and need to get over your parental complex. This is mostly a problem of reactionary woman having a Pearl Davisesque yearning to be excused of rights and responsibility but men doing it are just as bad.
> In an interview, Moshfegh [author of 'My Year of Rest and Relaxation'] said she finds the 'weird girl lit' label “patronizing,” “conservative” and “misogynistic.” She maintained that the word “weird” in this context perpetuates oppressive expectations about what a woman should be.
> “There’s nothing weird about interesting stories about people,” she said. “That’s what novels are. And I would challenge anyone who’s using that term to tell me what a normal girl is supposed to read or write.”
> Moshfegh pointed out that she’s not a girl, and has "never written a book about a girl."
