@krankheit >Hubbard is said to have marched out onto center stage at one of the Scientology congresses in Washington, D.C., in the late fifties, pulled out a .45 loaded with blanks, fired it into the audience, and announced to the stunned assemblage, 'I just thought you'd like to see what R2-45 looks like!' wait why is he just a silly little guy

@salt nah thats what i was saying about freezoners theyre ppl who believe lrh was right about dianetics but reject the current church as exploitative. idk where they get the materials tho. if you join the Sea Org they give you auditing & shit for free but they'll bill you if you leave. but yeah i heard if you hear about OT3 before you're clear you're like, uberfucked or something

@krankheit oh interesting. i think nyx could def make something out of a rival scientology church claiming to have the true understanding of dianetics or smfn

@salt they tend to use the courts & copyright stuff more often but im not sure what they do nowadays idk that theyd even notice. they kinda just basically excommunicate most freezoners & if you're in scientology you can't talk to them cos they're squirrelling (interpreting dianetics absent the church) and therefore SPs. they claim to not do this any more but they also used to gather dirt on SPs or really anyone who stands in their way. there's this city in florida i think clearwater i may be misremembering that they like, own, and they tried to pin some pregnant woman on the mayor for some reason i dont remember. it really just kinda depends on how theyre feeling i think

@krankheit okay i read a bit of the wikipedia page for dianetics and i'm kinda disappointed. it looks about as stupid as most therapy basically.

@krankheit the scientists talking about dianetics as dangerous psedoscience playing on "their susceptibility to word-magic and semantic hash" as if therapy isn't that exact thing is kinda funny tho
