The phrase “authoritarian country” implies there are some non-authoritarian countries
@iro_miya True, i try to be careful only use “authoritarian” to express a difference in degree, not kind. Still i think the notion is useful. There are reasons i prefer living in Catalunya over England.
@iro_miya I think in this context authoritarian is opposed to democratic, not libertarian as it should be unfortunately.
@iro_miya I think autocratic is a better term here. A democratic regime can still be authoritarian.
