I will always hold a special place for starbound in my heart. it's my most played game on steam, second only to minecraft which I can't even get an estimate of. FFXIV is definitely also up there but I can't check my playtime since my sub expired and also that's not important right now.

point is, I love that game. but unfortunately I literally cannot seriously play it seriously anymore. all things considered it's not a very good game, not well put together and not an interesting story. it's not a bad game but it ... leaves you wanting.

I'm sure FU is a fun mod if you can actually get into it but I really can't care. when I played it yesterday all I did was kill people and do drugs and go mad and look at some weird planets. I can't take it seriously. and I guess that's okay, but that still says something about the game I think.

@sierra that's what i keep saying btw. Chucklefish absolutely fumbled the bag, the game just has way too little content, they rushed what little there is, yet it could've hd a much bigger impact if they just.. didn't run away with the money. thank you Finn Brice

@sierra < i did a playthrough i think like to the endgame of FU and it was fun. it was like. a lot more enjoyable to me than the base game. and i’ve played the base game quite a bit
although in the end i was just kinda . oh well that’s most content done
which i mean is probably fine. but i dunno. yeah there’s just kinda not that much stuff to do especially in vanilla. it’s weird!! why is it a linear story!! it’s all weird they fumbled it!! i think the main reason i’ve played it for almost 200 hours is i’m pretty good at immersing myself in sandbox games and it’s kinda easy with starbound
