Civ is like heroin, I can barely keep my eyes open much less focus on something with them but I had to keep playing it for like 2 hours so I could win the Siege of Baltimore (took about 500 years)

The Siege of Baltimore started with knights and catapults and was only ended by tanks and modern artillery
