I think if you use javascript outside of funny website script you need to grow up and learn a real programming language

but I fucking hate node

I think using it to help you build websites is . Fine. I guess that makes sense

but the fact that one of the examples on their homepage is a web server? stop it. why are you doing that.

I did use js to edit a large json file once actually. I made a html file with an inline script. it worked. well it was really slow and the page crashed a little but that's due to Large Jason File

@sierra honestly though from a sysadmin pov node is one of if not the least evil server-side software.. i've had bad experience w/ Laravel (for PHP) and Ruby... not one that i can think of with N.JS 🥴
