Hearing Muslims argue about magic is cute. Like, "such and so wrote a prayer down on paper and tried to stick it in the crack in the wall at a mosque, they must be a witch!"

That's just dua jariya, not sihr. Calm yo ass down. If these guys ever saw actual magic practices they would be freaked the fuck out.

Having previously been a pagan and very uh.... into magick, I couldn't help but laugh at it. It's like when a crime scene clean-up guy watches cop shows and keeps laughing because there should be more blood on the ceiling after a knife attack.

@technicallydifficult surprised you didn't see a lot more of this sort of discourse in your previous christian arc...

rephrasing my previous comments:
I have seen christians do as much magick as witches and not know that's what it was. They know so little of anything outside of normative mainstream Christianity that they can't spot sorcery or witchcraft if it isn't extremely overt and cartoonishly stereotypical. Like, where is the bubbling cauldron and pointy hat? If no talking cat or leviathan cross, is it really magick? Honestly, they probably wouldn't recognize the sigils from the keys of solomon, come to think of it. It's not that niche, but it's still not something most people know. Half the people at a renfaire probably know, but they're all edgy nerds anyways.

When I was at my mh retreat a while back, a random guy asked me how to do magick, and I was like, naw dude. Not helping you with that. The unseen is not to be trifled with. Leave it be.
