saw some paw prints in the snow they look feline . I have to go out again and measure them

@sierra lynxes usually don’t have them as part of their tracks, so that makes sense
their pawprints are more irregular than a cat’s with each pad farther apart. their hind paws will hit around or directly on the forepaw’s footprint, so it can either obscure the print. try to look for nearby prints to see if this is the case (usually a line of prints or equally spaced prints side-to-side like a wolf’s). keep in mind lynxes have pretty flexy toes so the size can be very variable among individuals and the ground under the snow

not quite enough snow to be able to see the entire track. plus tire tracks and me walking around. oh well, I'm still reasonably confident this is from a lynx
