whenever I take melatonin I have pretty vivid dreams

this time there was a concerning amount of crime involved. I was just tryna chill at home but for some reason I was like getting stalked and at least 3 people died

they reclaimed their bodies when I wasn't looking and left some slips of paper to like. send to their families and be like sorry for your loss but they looked like they were made in powerpoint extremely tacky. bright colors and gradients and 3d text. one of them called one of them a nerd spelled like "nedrs"

@sierra yeah that seems to be the main effect it has. the making you sleep thing seems more dubious

later their I think leader showed up. hooded figure. plus another guy. scary. I had a bb gun and they did as well but it kinda did nothing. ran back inside and I had to keep the door shut (why didn't I lock it). there was someone else inside who was on my side but lowkey kinda useless. at some point the other guy must have liked tried to enter cause suddenly his hand was inside but trapped somehow so I beat the shit out of it. that'll teach em. I did release him and they left and I yelled at them and I guess that was that

@nyx I mean it makes me sleepier n that's what matters but it's been kinda ...... bad at it..?

@sierra that's been my experience too. I don't think melatonin actually induces sleepiness so much is one component of it that can be sorta inconsistently helpful with it but also makes you very groggy mostly

@nyx @sierra god it makes me so fucking groggy and then i wake in the middle of the fucking night and im just miserable

sometimes it works. sometimes. most of the time it fucks me up worse than i was to begin with

@coolbean @sierra I think sleep is just a more complex process than many seem to think and trying to induce it is always at best going to have mixed results

@nyx @sierra which fucking sucks for me because it means unless my sleep schedule already roughly lines up with when my body metabolizes the melatonin it does fuckall

@nyx @coolbean @sierra used to sleep by getting blackout drunk. Sobered up from that so now I just stay up for days at a time. Visions of decay dance on my skull all throughout the day

@coolbean @sierra I pretty much have to use meditation techniques to quiet my mind enough to sleep unless I'm like very sleep deprived and even then it's usually still a bit of a challenge. weed helps but also sorta inconsistently and my internal clock is I think just actually nocturnal which shouldn't be a problem so much as just how my body works but we live in a diurnal society

Ive literally always fallen asleep kinda randomly and sleep twice a day most of the time.. *saying this next part loudly over my shoulder* AND SO DID THE TIBETANS, BY THE WAY. (Everyone in the room is slightly confused and looking our way. A couple ppl are even whispering to the person next to them). But now I have a night crawler job so im learning i just have a natural disposition against sunlight

on the bright side, bringing in my old heater has raised my room temperature to 16°! fun fact in germany thats the legal minimum level of heating a tenant is legally entitled to from their landlord

@coolbean @sierra @nyx yeah night is awesome it also DIDNT BOTHER THE TIBETANS EITHER. (A few people are actually stirred and walking to the exit now. The girls agree in the GC after not to invite her along to any more mallcrawls.)
