@Alex I keep having to say this to a group of people I talk to online, they keep saying someone is an egg. I'm like dog just let em figure it out if they are, if not who the fuck cares

@monkey @Alex on the one hand, there reallly are eggs and a lot of people will not, in fact, figure it out without prompting

on the other, "egg" may be in danger of becoming the next "emotional labour" (or "gaslighting" or "enshittification" or etc. etc.) and that dilution could hinder people from figuring it out even worse

just to be clear: directly calling a specific person an egg who hadn't solicited your opinion is a big no-no
