i guess if i wanted to be pretentious about it i’d say that bart’s character as a rebellious teenager is what makes this land. we can presume his actions aren’t just random or self-serving but the incitement of a revolutionary project (Bart World) which is either so beneath us as to not be worth our understanding or so earth-shatteringly beyond us that we couldn’t hope to try
