i don't know why people get confused about [confusing topic] so often. it's literally just [straightfoward rule], unless [extremely common condition], in which case you just [counterintuitive transformation] or [inexplicably different pattern] depending on [obscure property]. it's like [overused analogy] except [exception that makes the analogy useless].

i don't know why people get confused about USB version numbering so often. it's literally just the speed of the connection in gigabits per second, unless the device didn't undergo USB-IF certification, in which case you just use the spec version and generation, or just the spec version by itself, depending on whether the device was capable of using the latest USB spec when it released. it's like how every iphone has a new number except if sometimes they called older iphones "iphone 14 gen 2x2".

i don't know why people get confused about pronouns so often. it's literally just whatever someone says they are, unless you don’t know, in which case you just ask them or read their bio text or pronouns badge, depending on what the context is. it's like someone’s name or nickname except you’re super transphobic if you get it wrong on purpose.
