if i were doing this on purpose i would have made the circle much smaller making it into a counter against the "TM" (but it would still be a bit bigger than that just to offset all that white space and keep it readable)

Yeah the graphic doesn't do a great job of explaining why they spent so much effort drawing a circle, but that's my guess too.
