just got out of a 3 & a half hour long age of empires game
by the end we had completely switched territories. seriously. we had invaded each other with transport ships so completely
at the end, our team had like no military, but we had killed every one of our opponents villagers, they then snuck a monk over to our island & converted a villager there
we ended bc it was 2am their time & the opponent resigned out of fatigue

by the end of the game there were NO TREES left on the entire map. when farms expired we started sending villagers to fish along the shorelines. the entire map was razed competely of resources

i want to say this is the longest game ive played but i think ive had one or two other three hour games. its such a slog you feel like a war machine afterwards
