@apophis@kill-corporations.enterprises Also I read the books in Latvian translation so I got hit with the "wait did he name the evil southern empire worshipping the wrong god 'coloured men'?" only as a ~25 year old when talking about the books to someone else in English. It was just something that never crossed my mind as a possibility before, translation was a direct transliteration of "Kalormeni", IIRC.
