this finally got me to change my default search to qwant again even knowing there's no way to avoid that awful laggy javascript shit UI

@apophis there used to be a ‘lite’ version of qwant that was html only, but at least it doesn’t have AI built into it yet

@mook why the fuck did they not only not make that the default but actively get rid of it!?

i literally can't imagine any non-nefarious motive to this

@apophis they’re kinda shady, why would you indeed get rid of that, like their firefox browser extension had ridiculous permissions

qwant also uses bing results

i dont know where else theyd fetch results but i know for sure they use bing results
